ACT_AS_USER Scope

ACT_AS_USER scope allows access to Atlassian Cloud through the app's server, acting as the user operating the app.
By adding this scope to the app, we can implement several improvements that we have not been able to achieve so far.

Examples:

• Instead of leaving an update history by the app, the update history by the user operating the app will be left in the issue update history.

As of scope

This new scope allows WBS Gantt-Chart for Jira to access Jira as the user operating the app, rather than as the app itself, through our application server.
This change paves the way for several future improvements that were previously not possible.

One notable improvement that will become possible with ACT_AS_USER is the accurate recording of issue updates. Currently, when an issue is updated through the WBS Gantt-Chart for Jira application server, the update history shows that the app performed the update. With ACT_AS_USER, we will be able to improve the app so that the update history accurately reflects the user who made the update.

While version 1.2.0 , we have not yet made updates to the processes requiring the ACT_AS_USER scope, and we have not provided improvements like the example above. However, we plan to make improvements does not yet include such improvements, we are committed to rolling them out progressively in future updates.
