Now that you have finalized your plan, let’s move on to carrying out the project.

project about your Gantt

Notify

project members about the Gantt which has been created, in preparation for each project member to carry out the tasks he has been allotted. Tell them the URL for opening the Gantt.

Also, tell them how to manage their progress rate (percent done). Project members should input their progress data as instructed.

Monitoring progress

You should regularly check the progress of the project. There are two ways to do this.

Check warning alerts

You can check on the plan display whether an issue has started or completed as planned.

Look at the warning alerts on the far left-hand side of the WBS. Image Modified indicates that tasks due to be carried out have not been started yet. Image Modified means that tasks due to be completed have not yet been completed.

Instruct assignees to deal with these tasks in order of priority.

Check progress rate

If you are currently working on a task that is behind plan, you can check the progress rate, by looking at the progress rate displayed on the Gantt bar. If the bar is to the left of the current date line (Image Modified), the task is behind plan. Instruct assignees to make up the delay.

Modifying the plan

If you need to modify the plan, you can add to it or change it in the same way as you did when you originally created the plan. However, do not change the baseline, which is the finalized version of the original plan.

You’ve now finished the project manager tutorial.
