To edit in issue detail view
When Display > Issue details on the operations bar is enabled, the issue detail By clicking on each issue name on the WBS or using the keyboard shortcut 't,' the issue details view is displayed on the right -hand side of the screen for the row of the selected issuewhen the issue line is selected.
If you edit an issue in the issue detail view, your changes are immediately shown in the WBS (with certain exceptions).
Both editing and inline editing in the edit dialog can be used to show immediate updates.

All fields in the selected issue row are updated with the latest information, not just the edited field. For WBS fields that are edited, values are overwritten with the latest information saved in Jira. It is recommended that you do not edit the WBS and the issue detail view at the same time. |
Limitations
Edits that do not update immediately
The following edits are not updated and displayed immediately. In order to display these, you need to reload the screen in your browser.
Edits that change the hierarchical structure
Edits that affect the hierarchical structure are not immediately updated in the WBS. Examples are shown below (The displayed hierarchical structure remains unchanged.)
- Creation/deletion of parent-child relationships (including epic, subtasks)
- Version changes
However, if you delete an issue in the issue details view, this is an exception and is immediately updated.
Edits that change a dependency relationship
When you create or delete an issue link using dependency issue links, the change is not immediately reflected on the WBS Gantt-Chart screen.
Voting and watching
If you vote or cancel a vote in the issue detail view, or watch/stop watching an issue, this is not immediately reflected in the "Votes" or "Watching" columns in the WBS.
Automatic calculation of schedule and percent done
- When the start date and end date fields are edited from the issue details view, the start and end dates of their parent and dependent issues are not automatically calculated.
- When the percent done field is edited from the issue details view, the percent done of its parent issue is not automatically calculated.
