Jira Field To Cell Mapping (Read)

The Read function in Jira Field Mapping allows you to pull Jira field values into your Excel-like table. This ensures that your table stays updated with the latest information from Jira, without needing to manually enter the data.

Use Cases

1. Displaying Jira Issue Details

  • Example: You map the Status field of a Jira issue to a table cell.

  • Outcome: If the status of the Jira issue changes (e.g., from "To Do" to "In Progress"), the table cell updates automatically when the table is loaded.

2. Tracking Priority Changes

  • Example: You map the Priority field to a cell in your table.

  • Outcome: Any updates made to the Priority field in Jira will be reflected in your table when it is reloaded.

When Does Data Update?

  • When the table loads: The mapped cells will automatically refresh with the latest Jira data.

  • When the mapped Jira field is changed: If someone updates the Jira field, the changes will reflect in the table upon reload.
