Improvements

Reduced wait time for screen display to load

We have improved the processing speed for loading a WBS Gantt-Chart page from start to finish for better consistency of performance. Previously there was a deterioration in performance if there were plan dates input in the data on the upper part of the screen, but not entered in the data displayed lower down at the bottom of the screen. There was often a long wait time for the page to load.

In the new version, performance is stable and consistent regardless of the contents of the data or the sort order in which it is displayed.

In Version 9.5.1 previously, if 2,723 issues were displayed in fully expanded format, it would take a long time for the page to load from start to finish. In the latest version, the time taken for the page to load has been reduced to only 25% of what it was before.

The extent of performance improvement is highly dependent on the data content displayed, the sort order, and the usage environment.

Issue detail view now easier to use

As a new feature compared with WBS Gantt-Chart for Jira 9.5.0, we have made it easier to use the Issue detail view function to the right side of screen. In 9.5.x, you had to deliberately switch to Issue detail view using the button or a keyboard shortcut. In this version, the issue detail view can be displayed on the right side of the screen just by clicking the issue name on the WBS.

With this update, you can now seamlessly use the issue detail view function.

As well as this, the functionality when you right click on the text link of the issue name has also changed. Other than the text link operations, there are no other changes.

See the table below for functionality when clicking as normal and right-clicking on the text link of the issue name.

Up to Version 9.5.xVersion 9.6.x
Normal clickDisplays issue detail screen on separate tabDisplays issue detail screen on right side of the screen
Right clickDisplays WBS Gantt-Chart context menuDisplays standard browser menu (such as "Open in new tab")

The required operations in Version 9.6.x are as follows.

  • To display the issue detail screen on another tab → Right-click on the text link of the issue name and use the standard browser menu.
  • To display the WBS Gantt-Chart context menu → Right-click anywhere other than the text link of the issue name.

Supporting Jira 7.10.x

Jira 7.10.x is now supported.

Bug fixes

If inline editing is disabled, inline editing can still be performed in the issue view

Previously inline editing could still be performed in Issue detail view in WBS Gantt-Chart for Jira, even if inline editing was disabled in the Jira system settings. This bug has now been fixed.

Restriction

This modification is limited to Gantt chart displays using the Gantt function, or Gantt chart displays using filters.

The inline editing bug still occurs with Gantt chart displays for a project (Gantt chart shown with project sidebar displayed).

Parent issue progress rate is calculated automatically without editing permissions

Previously, if Auto calculate "Percent done" was enabled for the progress rate in the user configuration, if the progress rate of a child issue changed on the WBS, the progress rate of the parent / predecessor issue was automatically calculated even though the logged-in user did not have editing permission. This bug is now fixed.

Project version progress rate is always displayed as 0%

Previously there was a bug whereby the progress rate of the project version was not displayed correctly on the WBS, and was always shown as 0%. This bug is now fixed.
