Question

 

When using the Jira Field Mapping feature, why can't I see the specific field I want to add?

 

Answer

 

First thing is to check if the field you’re trying to add is supported:

Jira field → Cell

Cell → Jira field

Supported Fields

  • Single select, multi select

  • Attachments

  • User Fields

  • Issue Fields (Status, Priority)

  • Date Fields

  • Date & Time Fields

  • Numbers Field

  • Text Field

If the field is supported but still not visible, it’s likely because the field hasn’t been added to the issue screen for that specific issue type. Here’s how it works:

  • When mapping a field from the issue view, the app will look for this field in the Edit issue screen.

  • When mapping a field from the template, the app will look for this field in the Create issue screen.

To resolve this, ensure the field is added to the appropriate issue screen. Once added, you should be able to see and select the field as expected.
